TRIBUTE to GUSTAV METZGER

September 2008, Gustav Metzger and ARINA

I would like to express my deepest gratitude to fantastic person and one of the most legendary and influential artists of our time - Gustav Metzger for his sincere interest in my work.
It's been a great honour for me to meet legendary Artist Gustav Metzger in person in September 2008 during my Final Masters Degree Show at Chelsea College of Art and Design, University of Arts London. Gustav Metzger came to exhibition and spent almost three unforgettable hours talking to me about his art, his life and arts in general. After this inspiring conversation with the Master, Gustav Metzger has bought one of my paintings - Wide Shut Eyes-2. It is a huge honour for me and I can't be grateful enough for his inspirational support and encouragement of my creativity. Gustav Metzger prefers to keep his painting (due to its large size, 175 x 195 cm) at my studio in London.
